Danbury Police: Breach of Peace, Assault, Conspiracy

Danbury Police charged Richard Daigle, 33, with breach of peace and interfering with a police officer after a struggle outside Two Steps Downtown Grille 9:50 p.m. Friday. Police said they were called to the bar and restaurant because of an intoxicated male at the bar. Police said they were able to get the man out of the bar, but once outside, the man attempted to fight with the officers. He was wrestled to the ground and arrested. Upon arrival at the police department, officers learned Daigle was also wanted on a warrant charging him with second-degree assault and conspiracy to commit second-degree assault. Daigle was held on a $10,000 bond for arraignment on the breach of peace, interfering charges, and another $25,000 on the assault charges. He was arraigned in Danbury Superior Court Monday.

This information was provided by the Danbury Police Department. A person charged with a crime is innocent until having been convicted in court.
