Danbury Police: 17-Year-Old Stabbed

Danbury Police reported a fight took place outside the Harambee Center on West Street, and one person was stabbed.

Danbury Police reported a fight broke out at 54 West St., outside the Harambee Center, and one youth was stabbed in the hand.

Police Spokesman Thomas Michael said, police received a call about a stabbing, and upon investigating the incident at about 1:20 p.m. Tuesday, they learned two 17-year-old males were fighting, when a third 17-year-old male tried to break it up, but he stabbed one of the other two during the incident. All three were charged with breach of peace, and one of the people was charged with second-degree assault. The fight had started earlier with a problem at school. Police said the stabbing victim was treated and released from Danbury Hospital.
