Danbury Man Issued Summons for Shoplifting

City man to appear in Danbury court for allegedly shoplifting from Kohl's.

Kohl’s Loss Prevention Department contacted Brookfield police after allegedly observing Hugo Veira, 48, of Rowan Street, Danbury, shoplifting from the store on March 6.

Veira was issued a misdemeanor ticket on charges of larceny in the sixth degree and released on a written promise to appear in court on March 19.

This information was provided by the Brookfield Police Department. A person charged with a crime is innocent until having been convicted in court.
