Danbury Man, Former Rye Golf Club GM, Faces Felony Charges

The former general manager of the Rye Golf Club, who is accused of stealing more than $270,000 from the city through wages to workers he fabricated, was arraigned Tuesday on felony larceny charges, according to a statement from the Westchester County district attorney’s office.

Scott Yandrasevich, 49, of Danbury, Conn., faces a maximum of 15 years in prison following the charge of second-degree grand larceny, a class C felony, according to a press release issued on behalf of Westchester County District Attorney Janet DiFiore.

Yandrasevich (pictured) funneled the funds over 4.5 years through a company called ‘RM Staffing,” from Jan. 21, 2008 to Aug. 16, 2012, then used the money himself, the DA’s office said.

“The defendant submitted false bi-weekly invoices on RM Staffing stationary listing individual(s) who were falsely described as working in ‘Administration,’ ‘Restaurant’ and/or ‘Operations’ at the Club, when in fact no such person(s) worked for the Club,” the DA’s press release said.

In total, Yandrasevich stole $271,120 from the city-owned club, located on the Boston Post Road, the DA’s office said.

“The City became aware of financial irregularities, hired outside counsel who further investigated and forwarded those findings to the District Attorneys office,” it said.

Bail was set at $20,000 bond or $10,000 cash. Yandrasevich is scheduled to appear Dec. 17. Assistant District Attorney Brian Conway, Deputy Chief of the Public Integrity Bureau is prosecuting the case.
