UPDATE: Police Identify Elderly Forest Avenue Man Who Died During Blizzard

Danbury Police said elderly man who died in blizzard had health problems.

The office of the state Medical Examiner has taken the body of a Forest Avenue man, Terrance Knoche, 72, who died outside his home during the storm.

The man appeared to die outside his house Friday night or Saturday morning, said Shift Commander Michael Sturdevant, and family later confirmed he had underlying health conditions.

The medical examiner will tell Danbury police the cause of death, based on what they find in the autopsy and in the circumstances of his death at the scene.

Sturdevant said the initial reports said the man had fallen off a low porch. He said it sounds like an "untimely death." but not suspicious.
