Danbury Home Invasion Under Investigation

Danbury Police are investigating a home invasion that happened just before 5 a.m. Monday.

Danbury Police are investigating a home invasion that happened at 4:49 a.m. Monday on French Street involving three men who kicked in a back door.

Police said the victim reported three men broke in his back door and threatened him with a gun. The victim started fighting back. The man said the three intruders were dressed all in black with black ski masks and black hats. He said during the fight one man's mask slipped and he recognized the man as being someone he'd seen on the street. He didn't know the man's name.

When police arrived to investigate, they found smudged foot prints on the door and both a magazine clip from a BB gun and a small caliber handgun. The event is under investigation.
