The case of the Danbury man charged with assaulting a ranger at Danbury's Richter Park was continued Friday to Oct. 18 at Danbury Superior Court.
In the original police report, Joseph Mooney, 48, 99 Boulevard Drive, Danbury, was charged with third-degree assault and breach of peace following an incident at Richter Park Sept. 15 just before 5 p.m.
"He assaulted one of the rangers at the park," said Danbury Police Spokesman Thomas Michael. Mooney was released on a $10,000 bond.
In court Friday, paper work filed with the clerk said Mooney is now represented by Waterbury Attorney Leonard Crone. Mooney's new court date is Oct. 18.
