Danbury 17-Year-Old Charged with Murder

Danbury Police charged a 17-year-old Danbury resident with a Class A Felony Thursday, murder, in the stabbing death of Luan Henrique Pitol late Saturday night.

Police said Emanuel Von Harris, 17, of Danbury, was charged with Murder 53a-54 and Assault 1st 53a-59. Police said the murder charge is a class A felony, which allows police to release his name, even thought he is a juvenile. Police said Harris is now detained at Bridgeport Juvenile Detention.

"The arrest was a result of the investigation into a large fight Saturday," police said, "in the vicinity of Wooster Street and Grand Street."

This information was provided by the Danbury Police Department. A person charged with a crime is innocent until having been convicted in court.
