Cops: Connecticut Man's Blood-Alcohol Level Was More Than Twice Legal Limit

Cops stopped him after he crossed the double yellow line on Route 22, according to officials.

A 26-year-old Danbury man is facing drunken driving charges after a recent traffic stop on Route 22 in Southeast, police say.

Troopers from the East Fishkill barracks charged Robert M. Siebuhr at about 2:15 a.m. Saturday.

Authorities stopped the defendant, who was heading north in a 2013 Kia Rio, after he allegedly swerved into the southbound lane.

Siebuhr is facing the following misdemeanors: aggravated driving while intoxicated and driving while intoxicated. The former is linked to a blood-alcohol level of 0.19. The legal limit is 0.08.

The defendant is due Jan. 29 in Southeast Justice Court.
