Cocaine, Possession of Narcotics with Intent to Sell, and Possession WITS Near Public Housing

Danbury Police charged Victor Rivera, 32, Rose Hill Avenue, Danbury, with numerous drug charges and a stalking charge after searching his apartment Wednesday. Police said the search warrant was the culmination of a several month investigation involving the illegal sale and distribution of cocaine in Danbury.  A quantity of cocaine was recovered from the apartment in addition to packaging material and other paraphernalia. Rivera was charged with possession of narcotics with intent to sell within 1,500 feet of a public housing complex because The Beaver Street Co-Op is located just down the street from the apartment. He was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of narcotics and possession of narcotics with intent to sell.

Upon the arrest of Rivera, it was determined that a recent domestic violence warrant had been issued for his arrest charging him with third-degree stalking. Rivera was subsequently charged with the above listed changes and held on a $25,000 bond for the drug arrest and $2,500 bond for the domestic violence warrant ($27,500 total).
