Cocaine, Cocaine With intent to Sell

A Danbury man was investigated by the Special Investigations division and charged Tuesday with possession of narcotics with intent to sell.

Danbury Police charged Willie J. Brown Jr., 43, Indian Head Road, Danbury, with possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of drug paraphernalia and risk of injury to a minor Tuesday following an investigation into Brown's activities around Danbury. 

The investigation was led by the Special Investigations Division and the Community Conditions Unit over the last few weeks.

Following the investigation, Danbury Superior Court issued a search warrant for Brown, and police stopped and searched Brown on Hayestown Road Tuesday. Police found drug paraphernalia and what they characterized as a "substantial" amount of cocaine. A later search of Brown's home turned up marijuana. Brown was held on a $50,000 bond.
