Officers responded to the area of 242 White St. at about 9 a.m. Monday for a motor vehicle accident. Police said a man was struck by a car when he walked across White Street in a crosswalk.
Police said the man was unconscious and he was transported to Danbury Hospital. At this time the male has not been positively identified. He is listed in stable condition, police said.
The person driving the car, Maria Moreno-Jimenez, 29, of Danbury, was found at fault and issued a ticket for driving without a license and failure to yield to a pedestrian at a crosswalk.
Police are asking any witnesses to contact Officer Kruijs at 203-797-2156.
