Barricaded and Threatening

Danbury Police responded to Blue Sky Behavioral on Federal Road Monday on fears a patient in crisis might set fire to the building.
Police said before they arrived the 26-year-old man barricaded himself in a room and reinforced the door from the inside at about 2 p.m. Police said after they arrived the man became very agitated and said he would burn the room. Emergency Services Units and a Crisis Negotiation Team responded to the scene. Police evacuated the building and the negotiating team talked to the man through the door. The man again became agitated, and said he was setting fire to the room. At that time Emergency Services Units forced entry into the room and subdued the man. He was then taken via ambulance to Danbury ER for evaluation.
