Our ESL teacher, Mrs. Walker, had her students experience camping right in room 3!
The kids had the opportunity to go into a tent, count the stars, and even roast marshmallow over the fire (created Playdough marshmallows). They had so much fun but more importantly connected their reading to a real life experience. Mrs. Walker created this environment to help develop her ELL learners language … what a wonderful experience for our students! Thanks Mrs. Walker!!
