Westerners Seeking Host Families This Summer

The Danbury Westerners’ begin their 20th season on June 6th, and once again we are focused to bring high-quality summer collegiate baseball to the region.   Funded in part by Major League Baseball, the Danbury Westerners play 42 games in less than two months, during which several of tomorrow’s stars from throughout the country will showcase their talents to our fans in the region.  In 2013 over 50 former Westerners were playing professionally in the Majors, the minor leagues or independent league baseball teams.

The Westerners are in need of host families to house our ballplayers this summer.  Our Host Family program is the foundation of our team’s success, both on and off the field.  Living with a host family makes the ballplayer’s stay in this region a “home away from home”, and improves the quality of their experience.  You will likely see that the ballplayer becomes so much more than a guest- he becomes a part of your family.  As a host family for the past seven years I can assure you that the experience is most rewarding, and my family and I cherish these relationships.

If you are interested in opening up your house this summer and hosting a Westerner (or two), please contact me at paul@danburywesterners.com.
