Obituary: Walter A. Schimanskey Jr.

Walter A. Schimanskey Jr., 84, of Danbury, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, September 1, 2013.

Walter A. Schimanskey Jr., 84, of Danbury, husband of more than 50 years to the late Arlene (Gillotte) Schimanskey, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, September 1st. He was the son of the late Walter A., Sr. and Edith Schimanskey.

Walter proudly served in the United States Army. He retired from Republic Foil after 45 years of employment.

He is survived by his children Walter A. III, Richard J. and his wife, Taryan, Paul A. and his wife, Zelia, Gary V. and his wife, Kimberly; his five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Frank Francis Schimanskey; and his sister Theresa Hamed.

He was predeceased by his three sons, Carl B., Robert J. and Alan M. Schimanskey.

Funeral Information

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday September 4th at 11am at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury. Friends may call on Wednesday morning from 10am to 11am. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery.
