Obituary: Richard F. Christ

Richard F. Christ of New Fairfield died at Danbury Hospital on October 27, 2011. Richard was born to John and Katharine (Goebel) Christ on July 27,1924 in Wurzburg, Germany.

He was a custodian in the New Fairfield School System for many years, and he was a skilled handyman who especially loved carpentry. He was a caring husband and a good father. He will be greatly missed.

In addition to his wife Katharine of 63 years, he is survived by one son Bernhard Christ of New Fairfield and one sister Eugenia Christ of Germany.

Calling hours will be at the Green Funeral Home located at 57 Main St. Danbury, Connecticut on Tuesday, November 1 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 2 at 10:30 am at St. Edward the Confessor Church. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery, New Fairfield, Connecticut.
