Jose Santiago, of Danbury, husband of Jorgelina (Marmol) Santiago, died on Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at Danbury Hospital. Jose was born in Orocovis, Puerto Rico, May 23, 1942, a son of the late Agapito and Adela (Vazquez) Santiago.
He came to the mainland United States in 1962 first settling in Stamford. A Danbury resident for the past 39 years, Jose retired from the Heli-Coil Corporation and was a member of St. Peter Parish and served as a former usher. He was active in the American Red Cross Blood Donor Program. He was a kind, caring, loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather with a fantastic sense of humor and a wonderful heart.
In addition to his wife, Jose is survived by his children Javier, Veronica and Daniel; twin brother Juan, brothers Felipe and Angel Luis; sisters, Nelly, Luz, Elsa and Elba; five grandchildren, Antonio, Yazmine, Nathaniel, Ciana and Caitlyn as well as many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 20, 2012, at 10:30 am in , Danbury. Interment will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury.
The family will receive friends in the , 9-11 Granville Ave., Danbury on Monday, March 19, 2012, from 6 to 9 pm.
