Anne Macchiaverna, of Danbury, wife of the late John J. Macchiaverna, died at her home on Tuesday, March 20, 2012. She was born in Lynn, MA, April 4, 1920, a daughter of the late Alfred and Lillian Heleotis. She attended Massachusetts schools.
A World War II U.S. Army Airforce veteran, upon graduation from high school, she enlisted in the U.S. Army Airforce and served as a military photographer.
A resident of Danbury since 1945, she was employed by the Risdon Corporation for thirty-five years as a quality control inspector.

She dedicated her life to her family and church. Affectionately known as “Noni”, some of her happiest times were shared with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be sorely missed. She was a member of St. Gregory the Great Parish of Danbury.
She is survived by three daughters, Elaine Gillotte and her husband, Larry of Danbury, Johnis Macchiaverna of New Milford, CT and June Macchiaverna and her husband, Jim Brusek of Chicago, IL; a brother, Theodore Heleotis of Dorchester, MA; a sister, Golfo Drivas of Pembroke, MA; five grandchildren, Lauren Gillotte, Carly Miller and her husband, John David Miller, John-Christopher Foley, Joshua Cody Foley and Jana Brusek; four great grandchildren, Amanda Gillotte, Ryan Miller, Lucamac Miller and Avary Miller and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Charles Heleotis.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 23, 2012, at 10 am in , 85 Great Plain Rd., Danbury, CT.
Interment will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury.
There will be no calling hours.
