Lucy Dalessio, 93

June 09, 1919 - February 26, 2013

On Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013, Lucy Troccolo Dalessio peacefully departed this earth in the arms of her best friend and granddaughter, Lorin.

Lucy was predeceased by her beloved husband, Russell J. Dalessio; her son, Russell P. Dalessio; her parents Mary Ross Troccolo and Pasquale Troccolo; her sisters Rose Spano and Florence Troccolo; and brothers, Charles and Michael .

Lucy is survived by her son Tony and his wife Karen Riedinger Dalessio; her grandchildren Lorin, Scott and Chris Dalessio; her great grandchildren, Ben, Seth and Ryan Utter, her sister-in-law Carmella Troccolo; her daughter-in-law Diane Dalessio and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lucy was known for her welcoming smile and her contagious laugh. While she did work out of the house for a short period of time, her main job was as a wife, mother and a fabulous cook. She was the boss of Antonio's Restaurant, which she, her husband, Russ and her entire family ran at the Danbury Fair for decades.

Lucy was addicted to volunteerism and helped out at numerous religious and civic associations. Lucy was most proud of tutoring the children of St. Gregory the Great School in phonics.

When she had time Lucy was an avid world traveler, totally enjoying adventures with Russ and many of her friends. She will be missed.

Funeral Information

Funeral Services will be held at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Tuesday, March 5 at 10 a.m. Interment in the mausoleum at St. Peter Cemetery will follow.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening between the hours of 5 and 7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Lucy’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
