Lifelong Resident Jean DePaul, 81

December 16, 1931 - December 18, 2012

Jean C. DePaul, a lifelong resident of Danbury, passed away suddenly on December 18. She just celebrated her 81st birthday. Jean is the wife of the late Louis J. DePaul. She is the daughter of the late Harold and Alice (MacIntosh) Fanning.

Jean graduated from Danbury High School and was a long-time secretary for the Danbury School System at Mill Ridge Intermediate, Mill Ridge Primary and Park Avenue Schools. She was currently a member of the Danbury Top Hat Volunteers. Jean will be remembered for her love travel, desserts and fashion.

Jean is survived by her son, Guy L. DePaul, his wife Janet and her grandchildren, Shannon and Carly; her son Mark V. DePaul and his wife Grace Alcaide-DePaul; her sister Barbara Licursi and her sister-in-law Dolores Fairchild Luisi as well as many nieces and nephews and a very close extended family. She was predeceased by her husband Louis J. DePaul; her sister, Shirley Blackman and her husband Howard; her sister Patricia Esposito and her brother-in-law Angelo Licursi.

Funeral Information

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, December 24 at St. Gregory the Great Church, 85 Great Plain Road, Danbury. Burial will follow in Wooster Cemetery.

The family will receive friends between the hours of 2 and 5 p.m. on Sunday, December 23 at Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury.
