Fourth of July Weekend Forecast for Danbury

Are we going to get a little cooperation from the weather this holiday?

The National Weather Service is giving us a break from the rain in its seven-day weather forecast for the Fourth of July long weekend. A minor, not life-threatening, break.

On Thursday, the forecast doesn't sound much different than it has for, roughly the last 430 days. "A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after noon. Partly sunny, with a high near 86. Chance of precipitation is 30%."

Odd thing, however. On Thursday night, the forecast calls for lower temperatures and no rain. Seriously, dude. No rain. "Mostly cloudy, with a low around 70."

On Saturday, guess what returns? Shocking how quickly you nailed that. "A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 86. Chance of precipitation is 30%."

Making your best guess about Sunday, knowing that past experience doesn't guarantee future events, what will it look like? Right again. "A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 87. Chance of precipitation is 30%."
