Danbury Fair merchants are “Building with Spirit”.  Dozens of stores throughout the mall are donating merchandise for a silent auction and wine tasting at center court on Friday, June 1 from 6 to 10 pm to benefit Housatonic Habitat for Humanity. The event will also include food by Brio Tuscan Grille and entertainment by Broadway’s Tony T ensemble.

“Everyone is in full support of this unique and special evening,” said Melissa Eigen, Danbury Fair’s Marketing Manager.  “We are proud to partner with such an outstanding member our community.  Habitat’s mission – building homes for families – is shared by everyone here.” Newcomers – Carmen Steffens boutique and Microsoft – are among the early supporters as well as Brooks Brothers, Lord & Taylors and others.  Microsoft, opening a store in the mall shortly, has donated an Xbox 360 4 GB console with Kinect with five-games while the new Brazilian-based Carmen Steffins boutique is highlighting its handbag collection.  “Others have donated gift baskets, gift cards, and a wide array of products,” Eigen added.
