Jesus Said What!? Sunday Sermon Series

Going to church is not to score brownie
points or to secure a place in heaven…far from it. Going to church prepares you
in so many levels. It should teach you so that you can apply what you’ve
learned to daily living. What you learn should change you radically – for the
better. It should always be the place where God’s love is taught and you’re
challenged to emulate it. A church visit should be to
a place that is a melting pot because it what heaven is going to look like. Church
should not be a place where you come to sit and listen, but the place that
reminds you to be super grateful and burdens you to do something about it. Going
to church is not where you meet God weekly. It’s where you meet people weekly
who need help and a friendly face to assure them that things can get better.
Church is not just for the naïve, it is also for the intellect that decided to
explore for themselves instead of listening to the opinions of others. To many
it is organized religion, but from the very beginning it was
never the intent. The misrepresentation of a few doesn’t represent the whole. It
was never about a structure or a building or so called twisted beliefs. It was
always about relationship and going to church is just the practice run for what
we will be doing at the dinner table at daddy God’s house one day minus all the
crud folks have invented. We hope to see you at that table one day but in
the meantime if you don't have a church to go to, you can visit ours because we
try our best to be just us, flawed and all. We have a great church filled with
imperfect people. You'll fit right in.
