IRAQ VETERANS TO BE HONORED

IRAQ VETERANS TO BE HONOREDOn Sunday, Oct. 13,  starting at 9:30 a.m., the Danbury Veterans Council will honor all Iraq veterans in an official Welcome Home Celebratory Parade. The event will start at Liberty and West Streets, proceeding south on Main Street to the War Memorial at Rogers Park.  
At the conclusion of the parade and remarks by dignitaries, there will be a gathering of organizations inside of  the War Memorial. These organizations will offer veterans information about benefits available to them, such as discounts, special offers and others that are provided in appreciation for their service.  This event is open to all veterans, guests and the public.
