First Responders Hockey Tournament and benefit for Save the Children

The Danbury Fire Department hockey team will ‘face-off’ for kids starting Friday, April 4, at the Sound Tigers’ second annual First Responders Hockey Tournament at Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport, which will benefit Westport-based Save the Children’s programs.

The weekend tournament, which runs Friday, April 4, through Sunday, April 6, will pit 12 local police and fire department teams from Fairfield, New Haven and Westchester counties against each other, culminating in the First Responders Hockey Tournament championship game at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 6.

The championship game will be followed by the Bridgeport Sound Tigers’ First Responders Night, the Sound Tigers’ 3 p.m. matchup against the Hershey Bears.
