Express Yourself: Acting and Creative Self-Expression for Teens and Adults

Express Yourself: Acting & Creative Self-Expression for Teens & Adults

with Sheri Bresson

In
this class, we will explore creativity and self-expression through the
vehicle of acting, performance, and spoken word (i.e. the "audible"
arts!). Working with E. Katherine Kerr's Four Principles of Brilliant
Acting (Communication, Commitment, Relaxation, and Being Present),
students will have the opportunity to learn some powerful tools for
acting and peformance, explore and deepen their creative commitments, as
well as develop greater personal confidence and creativity.

Anyone
is welcome--whether you are a seasoned actor/performer wishing to learn
valuable tools for your work, or you are simply curious about acting
and performing and have always wanted to try. This class is also
valuable to writers who wish to read their work aloud, or those wishing
to feel more confident when speaking in front of others. Just bring your
willingness, and something to work on: a monologue, song, story, poem,
etc., preferably committed to memory.

This class will be held on Saturday, April 26th from 1:00 - 4:30pm.

Fee: $55.
