Danbury Goodwill Store to Celebrate Grand Re-Opening

Goodwill of Danbury has a Whole New Look and You Can Too

Goodwill of Western and Northern Connecticut has re-branded the Danbury Goodwill Store on 2 Beaver Brook Road and will celebrate with a Grand Re-Opening blowout on Friday, October 19, 2012 with a theme of “GW-The Goodwill Store - We have a whole new look and you can too.” The party begins at 9:00 a.m. and includes fifteen minute personal styling sessions with Goodwill fashionistas from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The first 95 people through the door will receive a flower from Driscoll’s Florist. Personalities from three local radio stations will be broadcasting live remotes throughout the day. KICKS 105.5 & 106.3 will be there from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., 98Q will be on site from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., and I95 will be there from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. There will be food supplied by Matrix Conference and Banquet Center and Stew Leonard’s of Danbury, giveaways from local merchants and plenty of bargains all day. Prizes include 4 tickets to Mary Poppins on Broadway, 2 tickets to an NFL game, an overnight stay at Mohegan Sun and more.

The Danbury Store re-branding is part of an over-all rebranding effort by Goodwill to better convey Goodwill’s mission and to enhance the shopping experience at Goodwill stores. Goodwill of Western & Northern Connecticut is a non-profit organization that provides employment and support services to people with disabilities and other challenges to employment. Revenue generated from the sale of donations goes right back into programs in the local community to help people find jobs and reclaim their independence. Store hours are 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday thru Saturday and 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday.
