DRESS UP IN YOUR DENIM,

…YOU’RE INVITED TO THE LAND TRUST OF DANBURY’S “A HARVEST GATHERING” GALA

The Land Trust of Danbury will host its annual fundraising gala on Saturday September 28th, at 6:00pm on the grounds of beautiful Tarrywile Park.

As the title suggests, the theme of our gala is "A Harvest Gathering."  Women and men are encouraged to dress formal and fun...diamonds, denim, black-tie and flannel shirt.  Boots are recommended due to the event being held outside.

The night will kick off with drinks, hors d'oeuvres, music provided by Bob O'Connor & Big Trail Bluegrass Band.  There will be a silent and a live auction to benefit the trust.  The night will conclude with a "local farm to table"dinner prepared by Two Steps Downtown Grille - Ciao! Catering and Events.  The program, special appeal, and dancing will conclude the night.

The special appeal will be to acquire land and steward our vital resources.  Over the past several years, The Land Trust of Danbury has been focusing its resources on connecting a green corridor that intersects the Ives Trail preserving critical open spaces in Danbury along Long Ridge Road.

We have been very active in identifying and discussing the continued protection of new properties that have significant conservation values and create a protected greenway to optimize the resources we have already protected.  All of these activities stretch our existing resources and so we turn to you, who share our values, for help.

-- Michael Marcus, President of The Land Trust of Danbury

The Land Trust of Danbury is a private nonprofit corporation formed for the sole purpose of protecting open space - woodlands, fields, ponds, vernal pools, and other wetlands.
The Land Trust of Danbury was founded in 1971 by a group of dedicated and concerned residents.  It currently has over 200 acres under its protection and is poised to significantly increase this in the next three years.  We need your support to continue these efforts.
