Danbury Area Computer Society General Meeting

The Danbury Hackerspace at the Innovation Center

At its Tuesday November 5, 2013 General Meeting, the Danbury Area Computer Society (DACS) presents Mike Kaltschnee, speaking about the Danbury Hackerspace and Innovation Center.

The Danbury Hackerspace will be open soon and Mike will explain the types of activities and events the space will run for makers, entrepreneurs, artists, hackers, and craftspeople. In addition to discussing the Danbury Hackerspace, Mike will describe makerspaces in general, coworking spaces, as well as the recent growth and influence of crowdfunding (Kickstarter, Indiegogo, etc.).

DACS General Meetings are free and open to the public. Everyone is welcome. The November 5 meeting will be held at the Danbury Hospital, in the Auditorium. Directions and more information are available at www.DACS.org . Doors open at 6:30 PM for registration and casual networking. The meeting begins at 7:00 PM with Ask DACS, an open Q&A session, followed by the main presentation at 8:00 PM.
