Cycle Against Cancer to Benefit Stamford Families

The Connecticut Sports Foundation Against Cancer (CSF), a unique charity that provides financial assistance to Connecticut cancer patients, is hosting the 2014 Cycle Against Cancer Flywheel event.  The cycling benefit is being held at Stamford jewel Chelsea Piers at Flywheel on Saturday, April 5th, 2014, from 2PM - 5PM.  Flywheel is proud to hold the event at their studio where participants will enjoy a signature cycling class, and a reception following that will include an appearance by Miss Stamford 2014, Cara Ann Cama. The indoor cycling fundraiser will directly benefit three Stamford families with children battling Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) and the CSF Grant Recipient Program.  The CSF cordially invites the community to participate at this event by forming a cycling team or directly supporting the benefit families on the event website which can be found by typing in your browser, 2014 Cycle Against Cancer Flywheel. Contact: Claudia @ 203-340-2700.

About Connecticut Sports Foundation (CSF), CSF was founded in 1987 by John Ellis, a former catcher for the New York Yankees and cancer survivor to financially assist cancer patients and their families and fund cancer research.  For the past  26 years, through its Grant Recipient Program, CSF has quietly granted over $3.5 million to more than 4,000 Connecticut families dealing with the financial hardship that often follows a cancer diagnosis.  In addition, CSF has donated more than $1.5 million to support ongoing cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. CSF is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization.  For more information, please visit: www.sportsfoundation.org.
