Danbury called for an early school dismissal in the face of the National Weather Services expecting a small accumulation of snow throughout New Haven County, Fairfield County and other parts of Connecticut. The light snow, beginning early in the morning on Tuesday, is forecasted to turn into rain.
“Precipitation should change back to all snow this evening before tapering off later tonight,” said the National Weather Service in a written statement. “Total snow accumulations should range from less than an inch along the immediate coastline…to 1 to 2 inches farther inland.”
The mixture of rain and snow could cause slippery conditions on the roads.
