Tails of Courage Dog and Puppy Rescue Organization

The Immigration Law Offices of Cynthia R. Exner, LLC is a proud sponsor of the charitable dog and puppy rescue organization known as Tails of Courage, www.tailsofcourage.org

This dog is named is Jynx.  She is a 7-year old brindle-colored female owner-turn-in Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler) mix.  She is also a Survivor.

Jinx lived in the hills of West Virginia her entire life. She delivered several litters of puppies in the past, but her owners said that none of her puppies had ever survived. When she delivered her most recent puppies, her owners called a local rescue organization for help. The kind rescue workers came out to help Jynx, and they saw that Jynx had hardly any hair at all. Her owners said that Jynx had fleas, but they never treated her. The rescue workers called Tails of Courage for help. Tails of Courage arranged for Jynx and her pups to be seen by a vet. Turns out they all had Scabies. Imagine what it was like for Jynx to live like that with Scabies for 7 years. TOC arranged for Jynx and her pups to be treated, and now her hair has grown back!

The vet also noticed that many of Jynx teeth were broken. You see, Jynx was left chained up outside, put into wooden crates, and in an effort to get to her babies to nurse them and take care of them, she chewed out of the wooden crates and tried to chew through the metal chains and broke her teeth. Jynx eats slowly now, but can eat from the side of her mouth where she still has some teeth.  The kind rescue workers fed her soft food and puppy food, but now that Jynx has been treated by a vet, she is able to eat in her own way.

Jynx loves attention, and loves to play. She has never played before, never seen a ball, never run around in the grass.  She is very sweet, and  smart too. Jynx almost never barks, and is patient and undemanding.  Jynx has survived with so very little over the years, that she is just grateful to be healthy and to feel good for the first time in her life.  Having someone pet her or say a kind word to her, is more than she could ever pray for.

Jynx tried to be a good mommy. Jynx stayed at the house of one of the rescue workers with her puppies. She was outside on the front porch with most of her pups, but one pup was inside the house playing with a puppy from another litter. Jynx heard her puppy crying, but there was a doggie door between Jynx and the living room.  The doggie door was blocked off with boxes. Jynx moved the heavy boxes and objects blocking the doggie door, got inside the living room, retrieved her pup and brought it back outside to the front porch to be with her and the rest of her litter.  When the rescue worker saw what Jynx had done, Jynx just sat on the front porch, watching, and
saying, “Hey, I got my pup. She was crying and I just went in and got her. Is that OK?”

Jynx is very small, and everyone who meets her falls in love with her kind nature and loving personality.  She is an unusual dog.  The vet says that Jynx can live with her teeth as they are.

Is there a family out there that would like an adult dog that is already house-trained, who almost never barks and asks nothing for herself?  Jynx desperately needs a kind and loving family with whom she can live out the rest of her life in safety and peace.

Some people say that Jynx is the most deserving dog that TOC has ever rescued.

Every dog rescued by Tails of Courage is deserving.
