They are literally using all of there sick days and any vacation days they have left to still get some form of income. The money will go to them to help in this time of need! ♥

Cortni, I don't usually post things but I'm amazed at the insensitivity and lack of understanding of those who could conceivably criticize this effort of yours and felt the need to say something to support you in your endeavor. No police officer signs up expecting to see what these officers saw. There is no training for it and nothing could prepare them for the horrific scene that awaited them on that awful day. I have been told several stories about how they responded with bravery, compassion and tears. They, along with the priests and other clergy, volunteers and first responders who rushed to the scene deserve our prayers and support in any way we can give. God bless Newtown. Joe (from Monroe)

To everyone that is criticizing this woman who is doing a good deed, you should be ashamed of yourselves! Yes when you sign up for a job such as a police officer, fire fighter, soldier etc. You know that the possibility of being deployed or sent to a call that could potentially be disgusting or could put you in a bad situation where you see death, no one signs up to see innocent children 20 for that matter killed. This is horrific and everyone should be supported. I applaud you for your generosity and kindness. WE need more people in the world like you!
