2014 Business Women's Forum (BWF) Seeking Sponsors

The 2014 Business Women’s Forum (BWF) is seeking sponsors for their 32nd annual full-day conference on Friday, Oct. 10th at the Aqua Turf Club in Southington 8:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. BWF is Connecticut’s longest-running annual non-profit conference for business women and more than 500 attendees are anticipated. Barbara Corcoran of ABC-TV’s “Shark Tank” will be the luncheon keynote speaker, and Amanda Gore, CEO of the Joy Project, will be the morning’s motivational speaker.

“The Power of Self: Leading the Way” is 2014 BWF’s theme for the keynote addresses, six professional development workshops, all-day networking, plus breakfast, lunch, and a closing reception. A program of the Greater Waterbury Chamber of Commerce Foundation, BWF is led by female executives dedicated to the professional and personal growth of working women. Sponsored by the U.S. Small Business Administration, the BWF is supported by Connecticut companies.

“For 31 years,” stated Lynn Ward, president and CEO of the Waterbury Regional Chamber, and a BFW director, “BWF’s commitment has been to the equality of opportunity and advancement for women in business. To date, BWF has raised more than $135,000 toward scholarships for female Post University students to pursue business educations.”

“Sponsors,” stated Jane Pinho, 2014 BWF Chairwoman, “have distinct opportunities to showcase their products or services to 500 female consumers. This is a proven opportunity for companies to increase visibility of their products or services and promote themselves as dedicated to creating opportunities for women, an enormous segment of the Connecticut marketplace.

2014 BWF sponsorships range from $20,000 to $15,000 to $10,000, $5,000, $2,500, $1,500, and $500. These sponsorships attract companies seeking positive ROI on their marketing dollars. In addition to direct sales and sampling opportunities to professional consumers and household decision-makers, sponsors receive many opportunities to reach attendees through pre-event marketing ambitions. Sponsors can also directly network with attendees at the event.
