What's Open on Presidents Day

Openings and closings for area businesses.

While some people get to enjoy a long weekend this Monday morning, still others will be on their way to work for business as usual.

Here is a list of open and closed businesses in the region on Presidents Day.

Closed

-U.S. Post Offices will be closed, and there is no mail delivery today.

-Banks are closed.

-Town offices are closed in most districts.

-Most public schools are closed, although Bethel schools are open.

Open

-Bethel public schools.

-Big Y, Stop & Shop and other grocery stores.

-Walgreens, CVS and other pharmacies.

-Restaurants that are normally open on Mondays and delis.

-Target, Staples, Walmart and other chain stores.

What about state government offices? Closed or open?

State government offices and courts are closed as well.
