Open for Business

If you're a local business owner who is open for business post-Hurricane Sandy, please post your info in our comments section below to let readers know.

With so many local businesses still recovering from the effects of Hurricane Sandy, Patch is compiling a list of businesses that are open and serving the community. Are you open for business? Post the name and address of your business, the hours you’re open in the comments. Plus, please include any special services, products or other information that might be useful to the community. For example, do you have wifi, fresh water, or charging stations? Let us know and we’ll publish it on Patch, in our email newsletter, and on our Facebook page.

Gothan Auto Works forwarded the following message.

"I received a message stating that all the local Patch pages were collecting info on businesses that are opening their doors to the people affected by the hurricane. We have been offering for people to come in and charge their electronics, use our WiFi, get a cup of coffee, etc.
We also have a limited supply of bottled water if it's absolutely needed.
Also, we have a number of empty 5 gallon containers that people are welcome to fill up and take to flush toilets or wash dishes or whatever in. We don't recommend using them for drinking water since they were filled with various car cleaners and other chemicals."

Sinapi's Pizza forwarded this message: We have power at Sinapi's Pizza in the Danbury Square Mall. Come down for great food and a great family atmosphere.

Greco Tire and Auto forwarded this message: In response to the email we received concerning post-Sandy info, we are open regular hours (Mon-Fri 7:30-5:30 and Saturday 7:30-3:00), and have WiFi and electrical outlets available to our customers.
