Greater Danbury Job Fair

Here are 40 real companies looking to hire workers.

The following is based off of a press release from the Department of Labor.

Recruiters from more than 40 companies will be at the Ethan Allen Hotel in Danbury Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. looking to fill a wide variety of positions ranging from management to entry level. 

The event will also feature two workshops on Subsidized Training and Employment Program (Step Up), an employment incentive program to assist employers in hiring new employees by offering wage reimbursements of up to $12,500.  

Professional resume writers from the state Department of Labor will be on hand throughout the day to assist with resume development and employment workshops and to offer tips and information on finding a new job or changing careers.The first session providing information about wage subsidy and training grant incentives will run from 11:15 a.m. to noon. 

The second session will focus on Unemployed Armed Forces Member Step Up Program from 12:30 p.m. to 1:15 p.m.  

Several additional workshops are also scheduled.
