Prices at the pump continue dropping in Connecticut, with the average per gallon now at $3.64. That’s down four cents since the previous week and 16 cents from a month ago, according to price tracking website Connecticut Gas Prices.
Danbury's best price is $3.63 at the Friendly Service Station, 27 Tamarack Ave.
The national average is $3.43 per gallon.
“The national average has now dropped to its lowest level since February 4," said Senior Petroleum Analyst Patrick DeHaan, of GasBuddy.com. Connecticut Gas Prices is operated by GasBuddy.com
Some experts warn that prices could hit $5 a gallon this summer, but in the short term, DeHaan told The Tribune Review prices could drop through July 4.
The cheapest gas price in Ridgefield according to the Commute section is $3.68 at the Limestone Service Station on 399 Danbury Rd.
