Here are five entertainments to consider this weekend in Danbury.

The Tony T Orchestra is offering a tribute to Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald at 6:30 p.m. Friday at the Amber Room Colonnade. The event includes a half-hour cocktail reception, surf and turf dinner in three courses, a cash bar and dancing. For information, click here

Coyote Maverick is "Hosting Country Music Dance" at 7 p.m. Friday at 48 Newtown Road, the Coyote Maverick. The country-themed bar and restaurant featuers an American menu with country dancing. For information, click here.

The Danbury Elks Lodge 120 is sponsorking a Kids Safety Day with the cooperation of the Connecticut State Police, the Danbury Police, the Danbury Fire Department, PAL and the Fish and Game Club. The event is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the PAL building, 25 Hayestown Road, Danbury. Free items will be distributed, Karate demonstrations will take place, and it will be a fun time for children ages 4 to 15. For information, click here.

The Danbury Public Library is hosting a conversation with Danbury Author Jack Deeney, who wrote, "The Lion Dominion," a historic novel based on the former Ethiopian Prime Minister Haile Selassie. The event takes place at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Danbury Public Library, 170 Main St. For information, click here.
