Take an art class. The cost is about $150 and they run through April 24, once a week. Get an hour-and-a-half to yourself.

This is a serious, over the top, Great Escape. I bumped into it because I was supposed to sign my 15-year-old daughter up for a class at Escape to the Arts on Main Street, and it was full when I remembered.

Watercolor painting?

Not interested.

A Great Escape is Escape to the Arts, an art school run by the Regional YMCA of Western Connecticut at the corner of Main and White streets. Take a class. You can call and ask if a class is available at 203-794-1413. For more information, click

I suggest you sign up early. Escape is a part of the Regional YMCA of Western Connecticut, and a person has to sign up early for most of its programs.
