Dog Missing at Exit 2

The following message was forwarded to Danbury Patch Sunday.

"Today, at approx. 4:30 pm, my dog, Bernie, a German Shepherd/Plott Hound mix, escaped from me at the Danbury rest stop at exit 2 on I-84. She is approx. 50lbs, mostly brown with a white stripe on her chest and a black tipped tail. Her muzzle is also black in traditional German Shepherd coloring. She's very very friendly and will come if called enough--but would not respond to my persistent calls. I called animal control and they were going to keep an eye out for her, but if anyone could spread the word that has friends or family in the area, please do so. . .

She was still wearing her collar, leash, and harness when she escaped. Her collar is green with a Army dog tag, her leash is purple with the name "Winston" embroidered on it, and her harness is red."
