Union Savings Bank provides $5,000 sponsorship to Village Center for the Arts

[Danbury, Conn., July 8, 2013]— Union Savings Bank recently showed their support for Village Center for the Arts (VCA) in New Milford by presenting the organization with a check for $5,000. The sponsorship supported the non-profit fine arts center’s Paint the People Creative Place-making Festival that took place on June 8.

The Paint the People event is an interactive “art happening” for all ages. The unique festival featured music, art, dance, food, and, most importantly, paint. The first Paint the People event in 2012 brought over 2,000 people to New Milford’s Young’s Field.  Proceeds from the event directly benefit the VCA scholarship and operations fund, allowing local underprivileged children and families to attend their after school programs.
