ST. JOSEPH VARSITY BOYS BASKETBALL FINISH BACK TO BACK UNDEFEATED SEASONS

Danbury, CT. Last week the St. Joseph (Danbury) boys’ varsity basketball team completed their second consecutive undefeated season with a 45-29 victory at St. Rose. The boy’s team finished with a 15-0 record this year. This includes winning the St. Jude tournament back in November. The St. Joseph boys will finish up this week at the Parochial League Tournament at Immaculate High School in Danbury. The Top seeded Knights have a bye in the first round and look to win two more games and the Tournament Championship. If they can do this they will have back to back undefeated seasons for the first time in St. Joseph’s history and a combined 38-0 record over the last two seasons in the Parochial Tournaments and league play. Head Coach Renzo Ortega, Assistants Rich Sigillo and Robert Campisi are the coaches of the team. “We have a special group of kids that play the game as a team and work to make every player better” said coach Campisi. The Championships for the Parochial League will be on Saturday March 8th at Immaculate HS at 2pm.
