Sept. 13 Danbury Job Fair at Ethal Allen Hotel

Sept. 13 at Ethan Allen Hotel in Danbury

Recruiters for more than 40 companies will be on-site from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., looking to fill a wide variety of positions ranging from management to entry level.  Professional résumé writers from the Connecticut Department of Labor will be on hand throughout the day to assist with résumé development and employment workshops, and to offer tips and information on finding a new job or changing careers.

The event will also feature two workshops on Subsidized Training and Employment Program (Step Up).  Step Up is an employment incentive program to assist employers in hiring new employees by offering wage reimbursements of up to $12,500.  The first session providing information about wage subsidy and training grant incentives will run from 11:15 a.m. to noon.  The second session will focus on Unemployed Armed Forces Member Step Up Program from 12:30 to 1:15 p.m.  Several additional workshops are also scheduled.
