Rev. Kimberly A. Bosley Appointed to Danbury United Methodist Church

The appointment of the Reverend Kimberly A. Bosley to the Danbury United Methodist Church was announced by Bishop Martin McLee at the 214th session of the New York Annual Conference on June 7, 2013.

 

Rev. Bosley received her Master of Divinity from Union Theological Seminary, New York City, in 1983, was ordained Deacon that same year.  She was ordained Elder by the NY Conference in 1985.  Since her ordination, she has been in continuous ministerial service to several NY and CT churches, including UMC Danbury, as Associate Pastor, from 1986-1989.  Rev. Bosley also holds a B.S. in Social Work from West Virginia University and a Master of Social Work from Columbia University.  She also completed the coursework and several years of training toward a certificate at the Westchester Center for Study of Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis.

Rev. Bosley’s extensive community service includes the Board of the Monroe Emergency Food Pantry; the Monroe Interfaith Council; the Monroe Task Force to Address Teen Suicide; serving as Volunteer Coordinator, Westchester Lighthouse; and serving as a clergy mentor since 2001.

She assumes her new position on July 1, 2013.  She will lead her first worship service at UMC Danbury on Sunday, July 7, 2013, at 9:30 a.m.  All are welcome to attend.
