Rep. Scribner Recognizes Danbury Student Art

On Friday, State Rep. David Scribner (R-107) visited St. Gregory the Great School in Danbury to recognize the sixth grade winners of an art contest that challenged students to illustrate “What Danbury Means to Me.” Rep. Scribner met with Ms. Ann Beckwith’s art class to present the four winners with certificates, including Theodore Cote (theme: Danbury Railway Museum), Emily Halas (theme: Candlewood Lake), Elizabeth Flaherty (theme: Danbury Fair Mall) and Thompson Hyland (theme: Danbury War Memorial). Following the visit Rep. Scribner brought the artwork to Hartford to be put on display at the State Capitol during the month of November.
