Rep. Giegler Encourages Public Input

State Representative Jan Giegler (R-138) today encouraged the public to attend and provide their input during the next meeting of the legislature’s Task Force on the Provision of Beverages and Food in Funeral Homes.

There is a scheduled public hearing of the Task Force on the Provision of Beverages and Food in Funeral Homes on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at 12:00 Noon in Room 1D of the LOB.

“The task force has been charged with reviewing current law and determining if reasonable changes can be made to allow food and beverages to be brought into funeral homes during services,” Rep. Giegler said. “This is an important issue and has elicited strong opinions from both sides from the funeral industry I feel it’s also important to hear from the public, either in person or in written testimony.”
