The Danbury Museum & Historical Society is grateful to Mayor Mark Boughton and the City of Danbury for their commitment to Phase 1 of the rehabilitation of the exterior of The Charles Ives Birthplace.
The Museum is currently applying for Historic Resources Fund monies available through the State of Connecticut to match Danbury's monetary contribution and to begin the project in April 2014.
Would you like to see your state invest locally? As part of the application process, we are seeking letters and emails of support for the Ives House Rehabilitation from the Danbury community to be shared with the state grant review committees.
The deadline for receipt of your letters and emails is October 11, 2013.
Letters can be mailed to DMHS, Ives Project, 43 Main St., Danbury, CT 06810 or you can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Please help us with this most vital effort. Let's see "A Rebirth of the Birthplace" of Danbury native, Pulitzer Prize-winning composer and Father of Modern American Music, Charles Edward Ives.
You can also make a donation, with restricted use solely for the Ives project, by using the Paypal link on our website: www.danburymuseum.org
