Danbury's Farmers' Market  Community Collaborative will mark its 5th season doubling the value of people's government nutrition benefits with a Comedy Dinner.

Market Menu:

Strawberry & Avocado Salad

Mixed greens tossed with avocado and strawberries in a white balsamic vinaigrette

Main Course, choice of:

Fresh Grilled Salmon, In a lemon basil sauce, served on a bed of wilted spinach, oven-roasted tomatoes & blended wild rice Or Chicken and Portobello GrilleIn a fresh herb sundried tomato sauce on a bed of

blended wild rice, julienne asparagus, zucchini, yellow squash and carrots

 A three-course menu will be served and local comedienne Christine O'Leary will be featured at "Laugh Your Way to Better Health." The event also marks the launch of a matching voucher program for low-income veterans, a pilot project of the Connecticut Department of Agriculture. The 
Danbury Farmers' Market will officially open June 27 at Kennedy Place. Tickets
